Sign up Today for National Voter Registration Day to Show Your Organization’s Commitment to Non-Partisan Voter Registration
Organizations across the nation are teaming up as partners for this year’s National Voter Registration Day, Tuesday, September 25, 2018.
National Voter Registration Day is a day committed to coordinated media and field efforts in focused on increasing awareness of voter registration opportunities. The goal for the day is to register as many eligible voters as possible.
- With the midterm elections fast approaching in November 2018, National Voter Registration Day is more important than ever.
- Historically, midterm elections have much lower turnouts than presidential elections.
- National Voter Registration Day has the potential to result in a much higher turnout on November 6, the day of the midterm elections.
In New Jersey this past June, congressional primary elections had much higher turnouts. With such high voter turnouts, each vote matters more than ever. However, voters need to show up one more time to ensure the right candidate is elected.
The deadline for New Jersey voters to register to vote in the Tuesday, November 6 general election is Tuesday, October 16, 2018. If you have had a change of address since the last election, make sure you re-register to vote under your new residence to ensure you are able to vote on election day.
And National Voter Registration Day is the perfect opportunity to register if you have not done so yet.
Your organization can become a National Voter Registration Day partner and partners receive a field toolkit along with a variety of helpful materials to participate in the day.
