Why Attend the Congressional Reception: Bob Kley

Help us Remind Our Elected Officials: Opportunity Starts at Home and Housing is a Right!

In just over two weeks, the 2019 Congressional Reception will be upon us. To date, there are about 60 seats available and they are filling up fast. Make sure to register today to guarantee your spot on July 24 to let your elected officials know that Opportunity Starts at Home.

The bus departing from Trenton and Westville is filled to capacity and the bus departing from Newark is reaching capacity. However, plenty of seats are still available on the four remaining buses!

The Mental Health Association in New Jersey (MHANJ) has been a proud sponsor of the Congressional Reception for the past seven years. Bob Kley, COO of the MHANJ, explains in detail why the Congressional Reception is a great event for advocates.

“It is a fun, exciting day to learn more about housing issues in New Jersey, meet representatives and help develop a strong single message that housing is a right.”

Bob Kley

MHANJ focuses on improving mental health in New Jersey through advocacy, education, training and services. Some services that they provide include screenings, telephone support and resource links/forms. MHANJ wants to not only help people with mental illness achieve their full potential, but to also clear the stigma of mental illness that many experience along their road to recovery.
