New Section 811 NOFA Provides Rental Assistance for New Housing for Individuals with Disabilities

HUD has released a new affordable housing funding opportunity open to applicants that include non-profit organizations.  These new Section 811 NOFA provides rental assistance and affordable housing development funding for individuals with disabilities.

This new NOFA is for FY 2019 Project Rental Assistance of Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities.

The Section 811 Project Rental Assistance (PRA) Program seeks to identify, stimulate, and support sustainable state approaches that will transform the provision of housing for persons with disabilities while providing access to appropriate supports and services.

This Section 811 NOFA will provide project-based rental assistance funding to housing agencies. These funds are available to be used as project-based rental assistance for housing units. These units are integrated within multifamily properties that are set-aside for extremely low-income persons with disabilities. These persons must be eligible for community-based long-term care services and supports provided under a State Medicaid Program or other comparable long-term services program.

The deadline to apply for this NOfA is February 10, 2020 and more information is available here.
