December 15 – 17, a group of non-profit agencies and interfaith congregations organized multi-faith congregations in Union County to participate in the Homeless Sabbath Weekend.
Eighty-five people including persons who were homeless gathered at The First Presbyterian Church for a Homeless Memorial Vigil for forty-three of our homeless neighbors.
As people of faith, and Houses of Worship we continue to need to advocate, support and pray for our homeless brothers and sisters in need.
On December 21, at 7:00 p.m., non-profit agencies and interfaith congregations will gather at The First Presbyterian Church for a Homeless Memorial Vigil.
Geleen Donovan, Executive Director of Family Promise of Union County wrote “No Pace Called Home for the Holidays,” as we celebrate the Homeless Sabbath.
