According to data collected by the NJHMFA, the County-Based Homeless Trust Funds raised $1.7M and have a significant impact on ending homelessness in NJ.
On December 13, 2016, the Cape May County Freeholder Board authorized a 10-year plan to address homelessness which establishes a Homeless Trust Fund.
NJ counties raise $100,000 annually for their Homelessness Housing Trust Funds which provide rental assistance, case management and affordable housing.
There’s a lot more to do, but the homeless trust fund is an important step on our way to ending homelessness in Cumberland County.
