Hi, Monarch Housing Associates,
My thanks to Kate M. Kelly (May 23, 2012) for referencing my article, “Thinking Globally And Acting Locally,” on your website.
I am particularly grateful to be included within any discussion about homelessness prevention in New Jersey because I was born in New Jersey and think very highly about it.
Thanks again and Best Wishes,
Christine
I’m looking for any information on funding assistance for a young lady who has been in the foster care system. She’s 20 years old and currently working at my worksite as a volunteer student assistant through a community non profit organization. She is currently homeless and sleeping in a car. She was just approved to move into a house with three other room mates, however, they don’t have the money for the deposit in order for them to hold the property. Please assist with any information that you may have as to where these homeless teens can recieve financial assistance. Thanks
Hi, Alexa,
Sorry to hear about your situation. It is not easy for any woman of any age to go through what you’re going through. But stay strong, you can make it.
There is probably a battered women’s shelter available nearby you in Keansburg. You can call the police or look up social services in your area on the internet. Usuallly a battered women’s shelter will not give their address over the phone or over the internet.
But, you can call them and talk – it’s the first step. They may have resources for your that we don’t know about.
I believe becuase of your possible exposure to drugs, that you are in a dangerous situation. I believe that a battered women’s shelter will feel the same.
Please let me know how you progress.
By the way, although I am in California now, many years ago, I spent a good deal of my youth in Keansburg.

To whomever it may concern my name is Nakea Wright I reside at 172 Harlequin Glade in Bayville NJ with my five year old son Joshua. Im writing this email in hopes of finding resources to assist me with my back rent payments I am currently two months behind. I have contacted every source I could think of from my local churches to different organizations only to be told no one has funding. My last hope is social services for help with my rent. I was cut off from the TRA program through social services back in March of 2016 because I had exhausted my two extensions. I suffer from mental illness I don’t know where else to turn. Thank you in advance for any contact number or assistance you can provide. My phone number is 7329171782.
Kind Regards,
Nakea Wright

She is in recovery now for 14 months.Lives in Trenton recovery house. After staying clean ,working hard she got her son back from Dyfus & out of the system. She has the voucher for Ocean County but can not find anyone to except it based I think on her bad credit from past mistakes.Id there any possible way to get her someone willing to excet the voucher before it expires this month. She is trying everything possible to keep her & her son safe and together.Any help would be deeply appreciated.
