Advocates and residents felt hopeless in their ability to end the budget crisis, but this forum provided an example of how they can ensure their voices are heard.
On October 7th, 75 people participated in a forum held by HNPC and Congressman Andrews and voiced their concerns and their experiences relating to federal budget cuts.
The Middlesex County Board of Freeholders unanimously approved a resolution supporting HR 2137, the Hurricane Sandy Tax Relief Act, which provide an increased disaster allocation of LIHTC.
Andrews spoke with passion about ending homelessness and the budget sequester, “Homeless is unacceptable. It is a symptom of a larger crisis that we must address.”
