I am a single professional (paralegal-legal assist) female who relocated back to N.J. (family has lived in Summit since 1923) from Chicago (June 07) to rescue my niece and two nephews from foster care. They are scheduled to be adopted by me the end of May. We are currently living in a very small 1 1/2 bedroom apt. 3rd floor in Summit. I found a 3 bedroom apt. today (perfect for us) which will be available July but the rent is too high ($1,800 + utilities) for me to handle right now, the landlord will accept a voucher. I recently lost my job (March 13) as a legal assistant. There is no suitable affordable housing in Summit. Could you help me with any suggestions. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
